BACTA president Neil Chinn welcomes the EAG-Expo 2010

It is with great pleasure that BACTA welcomes all exhibitors and visitors to the inaugural European Amusement and Gaming Expo 2010.
Ten months ago the association decided to launch its own show in order to re-establish the importance of the amusement sector and to identify it with its own event , focussed entirely on our members' needs and interests.
January has always been an important month for product launches and sales, and I believe that in 2010 this is more important than ever, and I am confident that EAG Expo will continue the traditional London trend and become the main gathering place for the amusement world this month.
As an industry we continue to face some serious challenges throughout 2010 and it is important that we pull together both here in the UK and across Europe. EAG Expo is a great opportunity for us to show unity and reinforce our identity and our importance as an industry, working closely and facing the many challenges together.
We have worked extremely closely with our appointed organiser Swan Events, led by Karen Cooke, in order to provide a show that delivers all the requirements for exhibitors and visitors, a world-class purpose-built exhibition hall with good access and parking, excellent catering and above all quality products from all over the world. The opening hours have also been extended in order to satisfy our customers' needs, opening at 9.30am on all three days and on the first two days closing at 7pm with a 4pm close on the final day.
We have over 5,000 sq m of stand space from hundreds of different companies and have set a record with ExCeL of the largest launch show ever to take place at the venue. There will also be free seminars taking place throughout the three days including redemption, direct merchandising, and security and many others. The Tuesday evening will see the show party, sponsored by Bandai Namco, taking place on The Dixie Queen, the largest entertainment vessel on the Thames. It will be moored in the dock adjacent to the show entrance where on board entertainment will be provided during the evening. It will be a great evening. Entry is by ticket only available from your exhibitor.
I am sure that this show will be a benchmark event for our industry and a launch pad into a new and successful era for our businesses. We are extremely excited to be welcoming all friends and colleagues from around the world during the three days of the event.
